Conference
This "Frequently Asked Questions" page gives pastors and church leaders further information about our ministry, its focus and results.
The Conference on the Holy Spirit is our main expression of ministry. We usually hold fifty conferences throughout the year in local churches.
What is a typical Conference event like?
Each session usually begins with a few minutes of worship, then ministry in music by Tim and Rochelle just before the teaching time. After the teaching time, unhurried prayer times are marked by people being touched with the Holy Spirit's power.
How did it all begin?
Since its beginning in 1993, Enloe Ministries has emphasized the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit. Instead of general "revivals," our multiple-day ministry is called a “Conference on the Holy Spirit” because of its purposeful focus.
What is the focus and goal of the Conference?
The Conference helps believers go from UNDERSTANDING to EXPERIENCING onto MINISTERING the person and power of the Holy Spirit. Because of this focus, specific goals are pursued:
1. Salvation
2. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit (with the accompanying sign of speaking in unlearned languages as in Acts 2:4).
3. Understanding how the Holy Spirit works in and through you
4. Experiencing the practical, accessible empowering of the Spirit through every Christian.
5. Mobilizing individuals to minister in the power of the Spirit
As people grow in their understanding and experience, the "spookiness" and mysticism that they may feel about the Holy Spirit is replaced with hunger and confidence. Their fears and apprehensions are usually based on faulty pre-conceived notions about the Spirit and how He works.
Where does the Conference on the Holy Spirit take place and what is a typical schedule?
A Conference usually occurs over a three day period (four services) in local churches. Individual church and multi-church/city-wide gatherings are welcomed. Schedules include:
1. Sunday morning and evening, Monday evening and Tuesday evening
2. Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday morning and evening
What are the topics addressed and typical results?
It is typical to begin a Sunday-Tuesday Conference with a session on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Usually 90-100% of those seeking receive. Special attention is given to those who struggle and to those who do not receive. Many who have sought the Baptism for decades receive easily as Christ fills them. We believe that God literally "can't wait" to fill His children!
The next session usually focus on understanding the empowering work of the Spirit (the anointing, spiritual gifts, etc.).
It is not enough to just be filled, there MUST be a ministry outlet!
The last session is almost always a healing service. What is different about this service? The people are the ministers! Powerful miracles take place as people pray for each other with a new faith-confidence that God is anxious to back them up! We consistently see people healed of all sorts of ailments such as blind eyes, deaf ears, paralysis, barrenness, diabetes, arthritis, broken bones and pain--to name a few.
What are pastors saying after a Conference?
(Please go to the "For Pastors" page for specific recommendations.)
"We have never had so many genuinely baptized in the Holy Spirit."
"We can do this! This is what the New Testament said we could do!"
"Our church will never be the same!"
"The atmosphere of expectancy has remained for months."
